I'm LOVING my writing conference. I'm so glad Joseph encouraged me to go this year, rather than wait for another one.
Today we had writing time in the afternoon, so I headed over to the new Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni Center. What a treat! I worked on my story in the comfort of an oversized leather chair. I was in heaven smelling that delicious fabric while my mind pondered the troubles of Rachel and Sam Zimmerman. I'm SO glad I no longer have to hang out at the Wilkinson Center with all of the "kids." For apparently, my youth has passed. When I pulled into the visitor center parking lot, the guard at the booth simply handed me my validation sticker. When I was in school and anyone tried to park there, the guards gave them the 3rd degree. Could it possibly be all my gray roots showing?
Anyway, more writing to work on. Just wanted you to know I'm alive and well and enjoying the beautiful TALL mountains of the west (they're actually green this year) and the wide open spaces.
