You Are What You Drive . . .

I rented a compact car for my writing conference trip. When I stepped up to the counter, the lady informed me that they were out of compacts. Would I like a Jeep Wrangler or a minivan instead? Can you think in negative time units? It took her longer to ask me the question than it did for me to answer. I drive a minivan at home! I wanted something different! So, I got to spend the week driving around in a Jeep Wrangler, listening to the wind rush in the unsealed top, tuning my radio in to NPR (a first), and thinking how very cool it was that I was driving in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains driving a Jeep. It doesn't get much better than that!
