Week 13: Opah!

Word on the street was that there was a Greek Festival down in Ft. Worth. Feeling the need to eat some baklava, Joseph and I hired a babysitter and headed on down to the 40th Annual Greek Festival at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.

The drive down was beautiful. The Greek food was very Greek. (It was fabulous to eat Greek food made by real Greeks--the recipes are in their blood, not in the cookbook.) And the music and dancing was punctuated by "Opah!"--just the way it should be. We finished off the day with a tour of their church. Then we hit the road, stopped by the ubiquitous Sonic for our drink fix and headed for home.

Favorite sign on the drive down: "Taco Shop" right next to a large sign that read "Taxidermy." Now what was in those tacos?

Second favorite sign on the drive down: "Mexican Tacos" as opposed to Finnish tacos?
