I get almost depressed when I hear about the "reforms" in education.  I want to move to a far away island and only come back when/if things get better.

I might not have to move . . .

Today I got an email through a listserv something that gave me hope.

Maybe Americans are finally catching on that government-mandated teaching approaches, testing, and the like are not what we need to produce thoughtful, critical citizens.
