It started with me going to a meeting that was 50 minutes away to learn something that could have been easily sent in an email. Rach played games on my iPhone.
Then we went to PF Chang's. Rachie was only interested AFTER I told her it was like Pei Wei. She loved eating her "China food" with her kid chopsticks. China food=rice.
Next came the bookstore. My fave. (Let me clarify, not my favorite bookstore. It's just my favorite thing to do.) We went down to the children's section and Rach had the best time. She plopped herself down in front of a rack of books . . . and she read and read. She also got to pick out a stuffed rabbit for her and for Shari. It's Easter. There are lots of them. Everywhere. All the same. But Rachie had to look for just the right one. I loved it.
Next came . . . depositing a check for my mom. I know. The epitome of time spent with my daughter :)
Then we got to settle in at home. She played with her bunny. I took a short nap. Ahhh! Now that truly is my favorite thing to do.
Viva la Rachie/Mommy days!
PS Shari was a little jealous, but she did love her bunny. I'll have to figure out a Shari/Mommy time.
PPS Josh got a little children's Bible. He wasn't forgotten ;)
