I assign my students that awful task of writing . . . gulp . . . heaven forbid! . . . lesson plans. Can you imagine? Preservice teachers learning to write lesson plans. Gasp!
Guess what I was doing tonight . . . lesson planning. Modeling, check. Guided practice, check. Independent practice, check. Even some anticipatory set and input thrown in just to round out the whole spiel.
My, my, my . . . maybe we do teach these future teachers something useful after all.
