Saturday

It's not quite 9:00, and I'm here curled up in my favorite corner of the couch. My mini-laptop is perched on my leg. I'm comfy. I'm happy.

This is the first Saturday in weeks that I don't have a list a mile long that needs to be accomplished. Sure, there's the trip to the grocery store. But that's nothing new. But besides that, my calendar is empty. It's practically inconceivable. And I'm trying to bask in the possibilities this emptiness brings.

I could run a marathon. Okay, not really.

I could start and finish a book in one day. Hmm, that's possible.

I could even go finish the mountain of shirts and pants and underwear that's overtaken my laundry room. Shudder. Okay, definitely not.

You know, I think I might just stay here in my couch corner, curled up, and dream of possibilities. Because sometimes the dream is every bit as enjoyable as the real thing.
