So, my writing time has been gobbled up by preparing for the various classes I taught this past semester. And you ask, "How in the world are you going to be a rich and famous author if you don't write?" That, my friend, is the precise question which has been niggly in my brain since January. Ugh!
Last week, my dear writer friend Caroline came to my rescue. She issued a writing challenge. The challenge? Write 5 hours in a week. That's all. A mere 5 hours. Not even a full day of work. Should be easy, right? And I'm mostly a poet, so that basically means rambling on and on in my writers notebook sorting through layers of mind-dross till I find that delicious golden nugget worth turning into a poem. A breeze . . . The deadline for week one is tomorrow and I have logged in exactly . . . 17 minutes.
I might be owing Caroline a drink tomorrow :(
