Update

I know, I know . . . I leave you guys hanging.

So, it looks like I'll be full time at University of North Texas in the fall. Yeah! That's four classes and an office somewhere. It might be in a janitor's closet, but it'll have my office hours posted outside it, so what do I care?

I passed the two tests I need to become certified to teach in Texas. I hate jumping through hoops, but it is nice to know that my brain still works. I have my temporary certificate that's good until next February, so I'll probably wait till then to pay more money to be certified. And I'll probably go take the ESL certification test so that I have that as well. Who knew you had to have so many things to teach? Don't even get me started how this does NOT make me a "highly-qualified teacher" according to No Child Left Behind. I still think Bush messed us up BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, I really don't have any opinion.

We're enjoying having my mom live with us. The kids really love their "Gramsy" and we really love the help with the kids. Plus it's nice to have another adult around to talk to--especially when Joseph goes on his business trips (two in the past two months) or off to play volleyball or basketball.

We're still loving Texas, but wish there was a way to see all of you too.
