or maybe it's just the faith of a child.
A few weeks back when Hurricane Ike was wreaking havoc in southern Texas, we were getting ready for it to hit us as well. It was just supposed to be a tropical storm, but we still told the kids about the wind that was heading our way. (They wanted to know why they had to go pick up their toys from the backyard.)
Shari pipes up, "We have a brick house. We won't blow away!"
Not wanting to tell her some winds are stronger than even the Big Bad Wolf's huff and puff, I just smiled and said, "You're right."
Lucky for us, the storm turned east. We would've been okay even if it hadn't. But it won't be too long before tornado season descends upon us like a black cloud! What then?
Viva la faith of a child!
