I'm The Champion (sort of)

Joseph loves to run. I do not.

Joseph joined a running group that has monthly races. I joined so I could support my husband.

Joseph said, "Besides the age bracket winners, there is a winner for women who are over 150 lb and one for the men over 190 lb. I know you could beat the posted times for last race."

I said, "Okay."

Then Joseph goes and pulls a muscle. Did he run today? No. Did I jog/mostly walk a 5 K. Yes. And I came in first for the big girl class. Click here to see all results for the race.

They also have a 1 K race for kids under 12. Our kids did that as well. Their times are listed. And I know it was their new sneakers we bought them last night that gave them such super times. (Josh really didn't do the whole thing.)

So the kids got their ribbons and I got a trophy. And the 13-year-old girl winner Lindsey came over and gave Josh her trophy. :)

We also met a dad who came over to us and said, "My son was using a walker until 6 months ago." The boy is now 6. So there's hope! His son was born at 26 weeks (1 week earlier than the twins). He was 14 oz. when he was born.

We had a great day. And my shins will be glad when they recover.
